OK, she runs great, time to do the body work...

My buddies, The Village, came to my place to start the body work..
It took some heavy equipment to fix the mess the PO left
Besides a Porta Power, a belt sander was necessary
As well as some heavy thinking, aided by drinking
because, what looked like a good end cap turned out to be swiss cheese
But, a bit of work, a lot of banging...
some elbow grease from the wizard, John
and we got her ready...

And my buddy Norm shot her
and she came out good.

Now, I have the upcoming week to get the rest of the truck in primer...

          then onto color...

Fun on Santa Rosa Mountain

Now that the Scout is together and working well, it is time to have some fun with it.

We camped on one of the most beautiful mountains I have ever been to, Santa Rosa.  We went with out friend John, a founding member of The Village, and of course, Maynard and Zoe.

We found a wonderful campsite.

And we began to prep for out lovely evening after doing some exploring.

This is NOT graffiti, is has been on this tree since circa WWII

OK, I forgot my bow saw

The dogs had their fill of fun too

Cindy and John and John and me

Our friends Norm and Kim joined us for dinner

and we enjoyed a great evening on an Island in a Sea of Madness

Yep, it needs the paint and body work, and maybe a bit more flex

2012 International Harvester Western Regionals
Sponsored by Scouts West - Benefiting Wounded Warriors

Cindy and I took the Scout out for it's inaugural journey to Calico for a weekend of fun, friends, ogling of  cool IHs and some wheeling...

Lots of really great vehicles, Cindy wants one like the red Scout 80.

Notice the license plate...

Some wheelin' fun...

about 20 Scouts (and a Ferd and a Heep)

My Best, Cindy, in my Beast

Waiting our turn through the hole

Cindy got a little wide eyed on the way through...
but, she loved it, no matter what she says.

Then we had tri-tip dinner, awards (no, I did not win any), and a fun raffle that raised almost $5000 for the Wounded Warriors... and I won a fancy differential cover for my Scout, it's first and only bling.
